How is a Dzenotik built?

inspiration and design with soul
Everything begins with the essence. We draw inspiration from Mayan architecture, colonial ruins, cenotes, and the ancient temples of Yucatán.

GROUND PREPARATION AND SOLID BASE
We read the soil. We assess the bedrock, natural levels, and slopes. We strategically excavate and erect a perimeter masonry structure on organically shaped slabs, creating a firm and durable foundation.

BASE WITH ORGANIC SHAPES
We model strategic volumes with stone placed and often cut to size, piece by piece, to achieve the natural shape characteristic of a Dzenotik.

INSTALLATION OF HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
We integrate the hydraulic system parallel to the stonework, using the highest quality materials to ensure optimal filtration performance.

STRUCTURE OF STRENGTH AND SHAPE
We installed 3/8″ rebar grating every 8 inches, coated with an anti-corrosion primer. This steel structure protects the project’s lifespan and withstands pressure, moisture, and weather.

PHYSICAL EARTH SYSTEM
We installed grounding in accordance with the NOM-001-SEDE-2012 section, protecting the oasis users.

STRUCTURAL CONCRETE WITH REINFORCEMENT AND ADDITIVES
We pour up to 25 cm thick concrete with fiber and integral waterproofing. This seals the structure and ensures extreme durability.

SEALING OF COLD JOINTS
We apply products like CX-01 to all joints between PVC and concrete, preventing leaks and ensuring a reliable installation.

CONFORMED WITH BACPEC
We sculpted organic shapes, curves, and slopes with bacpec. Here, the work begins to reveal its soul.

WATERPROOF AND DURABLE SEALING
We applied two coats of CR-66 as a flexible waterproofing compound. This is a vital step to protect the investment from water and weather.

AESTHETIC TUNING
We use natural putty or stucco to give texture, color, and a handcrafted touch to the space.

NATURALNESS
We create shapes with stone molds that convey a natural feel to the project, authentically integrating it into the environment.

FINAL PROTECTION
We seal in two coats to reinforce protection against water, sun, and weather. Every detail is eternal. We use a special pool sealant to protect the finish and everything else.

NATURAL INTEGRATION
We incorporated local stone, wood, vegetation, bridges, portals, and waterfalls in harmony with the surroundings. A Dzenotik is born from the land… and returns to it.

The drinking water pipes arrive precisely. Everything comes to life and makes sense: the oasis is ready.
